Chamber was awarded funds from Kennebec Valley Tourism Council

The Kennebec Valley Tourism Council (KVTC) has awarded Sponsorship Support funds in the amount of $2,500 to the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce in support of the Mid-Maine Fish Off happening this July18-25, 2026. This funding will support tourism growth in Maine's Kennebec Valley and generate a positive economic impact across the region.

The Mid-Maine Chamber was among nine sponsorship recipients selected through KVTC's 2026 Sponsorship Program, which fulfilled all regional sponsorship requests totaling $22,500. KVTC remains committed to supporting local organizations whose marketing efforts help position Maine's Kennebec Valley as a premier destination.

“Chamber Program Director, Cindy Stevens added: We are incredibly grateful to the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council for this support, which allows us to expand the reach of the new event, Mid-Maine Fish Off and showcase everything our region has to offer. This investment helps us attract new visitors, strengthen our local economy, and drive meaningful business activity throughout the Kennebec Valley.”

The Kennebec Valley Tourism Council is excited to announce the recipients of our 2026 Sponsorship Program, supporting local organizations that help make our region shine.

“The Kennebec Valley is home to so many passionate organizations doing incredible work to showcase what makes our region special. Through our Sponsorship Program, we're able to put resources directly into their hands — helping them amplify their marketing efforts and bring more visitors through our doors. Every dollar we invest comes back to our communities tenfold, driving the kind of tourism that strengthens our local economy.”

By working together, KVTC and its community partners aim to boost tourism, support small businesses, and celebrate what makes the Kennebec Valley a great place to live, work, and visit.
