3D Printing Open House

Join us for a family- friendly 3D Printing Open House and learn more about 3D technology. 3D printing has applications in education, art, design, prototyping, home repair – and it’s really fun! Watch 3D printers in action, see 3D printed objects as they take shape (and take home a sample), learn about the software used to create 3D objects, and explore the endless creative possibilities! Enjoy refreshments and enter to win a 3D Printing for Beginners class (a $110 value).
- 11am-1pm Printing Demonstration: see the printer, software, and how it prints. There will be an art-making activity for all ages using 3D Printing rubbing plates.
- 11:30am Design Demonstration: learn about 3D software such as Thingiverse and Tinkercad.
- 12pm 3D Printing + the Arts: see how 3D printing is used in clay, printmaking, and to support our films and theater
- 12:30pm Student 3D printing: hear from students who have taken 3D Printing for Beginners.
- 12:45pm Prize Drawing: sign up for a chance to win a free 3D Printing for Beginners class starting September 14.
