Economic Development in Africa and China’s Role

Free – $12Our speaker, Dan LaFave, is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Faculty Affiliate of the East Asian Studies and Global Studies programs at Colby College. His research focuses on the interplay of health, human capital, and labor markets in developing settings. Dan works closely with undergraduate researchers and teaches courses in econometrics, development economics, health economics, and microeconomics. He holds a B.A. in International Studies from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University.
Optional Lunch: Choose roast beef sandwich, chicken pesto wrap, or vegetarian wrap with a vegan option, served with Hungarian soup, cookie, coffee or tea, $12, pay at the door. Lunch will be available at 11:30; the talk will start at noon. You are of course welcome to bring your own food.
