The Lunchbox

April 16, 2023, 1:00 PM

12:00 p.m.: Refreshments from Jewel of India
1:00 p.m.: Film screening and Q&A with editor John Lyons!

Join us for a free screening of the delightful Hindi film The Lunchbox, followed by a Q&A with the film's editor, John Lyons. A mistaken delivery in Mumbai's famously efficient lunchbox delivery system (Mumbai's Dabbawallahs) connects a young housewife to a stranger in the dusk of his life. They build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox. Gradually, this fantasy threatens to overwhelm their reality.

(PG, 104 min., 2013)

Sponsored by the Colby Center for the Arts and Humanities, this screening is part of the film series Cinema in Conversation: Food for Thought.

Reserve free tickets below. Without an advance ticket, seating is not guaranteed. Any remaining tickets will be issued at the Box Office before the event.
