The U.S. News and World Report Covered Waterville's Community Catalyst

The U.S. News and World Report visited Faye Nicholson to report about Waterville's Community Catalyst Process.  If you'd like to read the article click on the picture once and you can maybe read it, twice and you can read it from ten feet away.

It's easy to see that the reporter didn't actually stay for much of the event because actually, there was no fighting or arguing.  It simply was not part of the process.  You made a statement and it was written.  Someone said take it out and it came out.  End of story.  What we ended up with was a true commonly held vision and priorities determined by hundreds and hundreds of votes.  Below please see the lines of people snaking through the third floor of The Center marking their choices.

The "desperately needed renaissance in American civic life" part we do believe.  There would be little else to explain why thousands of volunteers have worked so hard since those three days in 1996 to build an organization capable of sustaining a healthy civic life in Mid-Maine.
