Linda Cotter Summer Event: Ikawa

July 12, 1:00 PM
Free

The Mid-Maine Global Forum is thrilled to announce details about our annual Linda Cotter Summer Event. This year, we will be sponsoring a film at the Maine International Film Festival (MIFF) for our members and for the community to enjoy free of charge.

Ikawa

The film tells the story of the connection between Maine and Rwanda through coffee and is the creative outcome of a collaboration between film makers, students, and locals in both places.

You can learn more about the film by checking out coverage from Maine Public Radio and WABI, exploring how the film was made and the story behind it.

--

Following the premiere of the short film, there will be a Q&A with the student filmmakers, Mike Perreault (Director of MIFF and the Maine Film Center), and David Boardman (Mass Media Communications instructor for the Mid-Maine Technical Center), and a reception featuring Rwandan food for all to enjoy.

The film and reception are free and open to the public. Please share this information far and wide and plan to join us! We will be sharing more information over the summer about the film and how to reserve your seat for the premiere.
