A Colby tradition since 1971, these services includes readings and carol singing by candlelight. The Colby music ensembles provide a festive evening of traditional and contemporary seasonal music from around the world.
This year’s theme for the services of Carols and Lights is “This Little Light” with musical selections from the Colby Kennebec Choral Society, Collegium Musicum Ensemble, African drummers, and the Pineland Suzuki School. The service will be held Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 8 at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Doors will open one-half hour before each service.
Free tickets are available at the information desk in Pulver Pavilion, Cotter Union, Nov 8. and 9 for the Colby community, and Nov. 12, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., for the general public. After Nov. 12, tickets will continue to be available at the information desk until they are gone.
