The Clothes Make the Model
September 28, 2016, 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Common Street Arts in collaboration with the Waterville Opera House, will feature a VERY special guest clothed model for you to draw, paint or sculpt, the incredible Katie Doornbos. Katie is an amazing actress from the upcoming musical Young Frankenstein, which opens October 21. Katie will be attired in her extravagantly elegant custom costume, created by costume designers from the Waterville Opera House. She will be a vision in red! Stunning!
In Young Frankenstein, Katie plays Elizabeth Benning, the New York City socialite and finance of Fredrick Frankenstein — and she is saucy. VERY saucy! We are delighted to have Katie grace our studio!
Seasoned and aspiring visual artists are invited to participate in this newly expanded Common Street Arts program dedicated to drawing, painting, and sculpting. The fee to participate in the Open Drawing + Painting Night is $15. Participants bring their media of choice: charcoal, pastels, paints, clay, etc. Common Street Arts provides art horses and chairs.
For more information, call 207-872-ARTS or email info@commonstreetarts.com. Pre-registration is encouraged, not required. Learn more or register here!
