REM Award Honorees (2005) — Judy Couture (Inland Hospital)
Many volunteers find reward working behind the scenes. That’s why most patients and other customers at Inland won’t get the chance to meet Inland’s volunteer of the year.
Judy Couture became a hospital volunteer in 1993. Prior to joining the Inland volunteer staff, Judy was an employee when the hospital was known as the Waterville Osteopathic. She worked in the Medical Records Department. Her dedication as a volunteer has provided Inland Hospital with more than 5,000 hours of service.
Today Judy volunteers in two capacities here at Inland. She shares equal time in the Medical Records Department and in the Pharmacy. She is very supportive of fund raising for the United Way at Inland and makes a “Silent Auction” one of her annual tasks.
When she’s not volunteering for Inland, Judy can be found researching genealogy, traveling, cooking, candy making, and participating in activities with the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Rosie Red Hatters. She has been married to Joseph for 45 years and they have 6 children.
Inland is proud and thankful to have Judy on our volunteer team.
