Friends Camp Volunteer Work Day
September 10, 2023, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
After a wonderful summer, Friends Camp is beginning the process of closing our property for the winter. We are hoping to find volunteers who are able to come up to camp on Sunday, September 10 to help us with some fall tasks on the property. Work will start at 9am and go until 4 or 5pm. Volunteers are welcome to join for part or all of the day. We especially need hands in the morning because it takes a large group to take down and take apart the outdoor tent we eat under. A simple lunch will be provided.
Some tasks we hope to complete:
- Taking down our canopy tent!
- Painting in the kitchen
- Painting building exteriors, weather allowing
- Cleaning gutters and porches
Come prepared for physical labor, and to help us get camp ready for the summer. Please use the button above to register, and to find some more details. Families are welcome to attend and work, but we do not offer a children's program or childcare on work days.
