Young mouse Celestine wants to be an artist but is pressured into studying dentistry like every other rodent. While collecting discarded baby teeth, she meets a would-be entertainer named Ernest. The problem? Ernest is a bear, and society has taught the two to fear each other. The pair warily agree to help each other, but a series of mishaps and poor decisions leaves them wanted by the police. As Ernest and Celestine go on the run from the law, their bond challenges the expectations and prejudices of their society and the rigid divide between bears and mice. Based on the book series of the same name, Ernest & Celestine is a heartwarming tale of friendship and acceptance.
