Arts Collaborative Open House

FreeThis event is open to the Colby community and the general public.
From 11 am - 4 pm, guests will be able to meet the teaching artists of 18 Main Street as they demonstrate the free workshops that will be offered to the community. Arts education opportunities include screen printing, music-making, movement, creative aging, and making art from upcycled materials.
Guests will experience Sam Nester’s Arcadia designed specifically for Colby College. Arcadia is an interactive sound and light installation that uses the biorhythms of native Maine plants to create music and corresponding light cues.
From 4 pm - 6 pm, guests will have the opportunity to meet the Lunder Institute Resident Fellows: Adriane Herman, Veronica Perez, Julia Arredondo, E. Saffronia Downing and tour their studios, exploring the projects they are working on during their time in residence. From 6 pm - 7:30 pm, student groups and special guests, New Moon Ensemble will be performing.
