Birding-In

$1 – $3Birding-In is what we call Birding in the L.C.Bates Museum Audubon Gallery. In the gallery you can Get ready for spring trail side birding by touring the many museum specimens of birds that are found in Maine. Look at the Hubbard dioramas to see birds in their Maine habitats. (Hubbard went to the locations where the types of birds were found to paint his backgrounds for the dioramas.) You will see bird beaks and can listen to bird songs to learn to identify them by ear. Children can go on a bird scavenger hunt, dissect an owl pellet and make bird track game. Or, play Bird Bingo!
Admission: $3 for adults, $1 for children & teens (17 and younger).
