Film About a Father Who

Introduced by filmmaker Lynne Sachs with a Q&A to follow.

Selected as the opening night film for this year’s Slamdance Film Festival and screened as part of MoMA’s Documentary Fortnight, Sachs’ cinematic exploration of her father offers sometimes contradictory views of a seemingly unknowable man who is publicly the uninhibited center of the frame yet privately characterized by secrets. (Unrated, 74 min., 2020)
