Golf Tournament to benefit Hope’s Place

Seeks teams for July 13th golf tournament
On Monday, July 13th, The Waterville Country Club and Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will host the 14th annual “Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament”. Profits from this tournament help to ensure the continuation of Hope’s Place, a program for grieving children, teens and their families.
The Swing for Hope and Hospice golf tournament provides local businesses the opportunity to support Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area by sponsoring a team, a hole, a cart or by providing gift in kind donations. Sponsorships are recognized in Hospice’s annual report, monthly newsletter, the website and Face book.
Tournament highlights include opportunities to compete for prizes donated by local businesses such as tandem skydiving, Silver Street Tavern gift card, Fox Ridge Golf Course green fees, Joka’s Discount beverages and a Whitewater Rafting trip. Prizes will be awarded for best gross and net scores and longest drive for men and women. A luncheon and presentation of awards will follow.
The entrance fee of $125 per person includes 18 holes of golf, cart, strings & mulligan’s, tournament prizes, refreshments and luncheon.
Golfing participants are needed! Early registration is encouraged. Individuals and teams can pre-register or get more information by calling 873-3615 and ask for Deb or Sue. A brochure can be obtained on the Hospice website www.hvwa.org or e-mail hospiceinfo@hvwa.org. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m., scramble at 10:00 a.m. with luncheon and awards to follow at 2:30 p.m.
The scramble format with team and individual contests will provide all with a full day of fun, laughter and satisfaction.
