History Happy Hour

September 12, 5:00 PM7:00 PM

$10

Did you know in the early 1800’s Waterville had a bustling ship building industry, once producing a 290-ton vessel named the Francis & Sarah launched along the banks of the Kennebec River just below the Ticonic Falls?

KV Connect is excited to partner with the Waterville Historical Society for a History Happy Hour! Join us at the Waterville Historical Society’s Redington Museum a for a guided tour of the museum and attached apothecary.

From the museum we will have a walking tour facilitated by Jessica Couture, Outreach Coordinator for the Waterville Historical Society, focused on the history of Waterville’s Main Street where we will learn about everything from prominent Waterville families who shaped the look of downtown to construction methods that have stood the test of time.

Finally, the event will conclude with a social hour hosted at Mainely Brews located in Waterville’s old post office building originally constructed in 1911. Whether you are a history buff and lived in the greater Waterville area for decades or you are recently settling into central Maine, you are guaranteed to learn something new and gain a better connection to the Elm City!

This event is part of KV Connect’s Pints for a Purpose series. All proceeds collected will be donated to the Waterville Historical Society.
