Part of "Fireflies", a family-friendly film series. See all Fireflies films.

After losing his parents to a tragic rhinoceros accident, English child James Henry Trotter is sent to live with his two aunts, Spiker and Sponge. With his aunts proving quite mean, James feels utterly alone in the world—until a mysterious man gifts James a bag of “magic crocodile tongues,” which he promises can grow anything they touch. After spilling the tongues results in the growth of a giant peach in his aunts’ peach tree, James eats his way inside and meets the bugs—who have also experienced a magical growth spurt—that live inside. Having always dreamed of visiting the Empire State Building, James sets off on an intercontinental adventure with his new friends and their overly-sized fruit that takes them across the Atlantic and into the sky, encountering fantastical obstacles such as skeleton pirates and a robot shark along the way. Blending claymation with live action, James and the Giant Peach, based on the book by Roald Dahl, is a touching classic tale about overcoming fears and finding family, even if they’re a bunch of oversized insects.
