Kindness Is Contagious
June 6, 2016, 7:15 PM
FreeKindness is Contagious (2015, Unrated, 75 mins.) is a documentary about the viral nature of kindness. Research has demonstrated that acts of kindness and generosity have ripple effects that help us all toward having happier, healthier and more meaningful lives. The film features cutting-edge scientists and best-selling authors from Berkeley to Harvard, along with people from a host of other walks of life… CEOs, baseball players, roller girls, concert pianists, artists, street performers, soup kitchen volunteers, police officers, models and many more… describing their personal experiences with kindness and generosity.
The film is being screened in conjunction with the thirtieth annual Thomas Nevola Symposium on Spirituality and Health, which takes place at Colby College the following day. The theme of this year’s symposium is “The Blessings of Gratitude: Promoting Hope in a Challenging World.” Following the film screening, we will have a time of dialogue with the audience and several of the presenters from the symposium.
