Lovers and Monsters
What is Lovers & Monsters? Lovers & Monsters is a new cabaret show concept that mixes story with projected motion picture media, and a mixture of original music and beloved classics.
Show Synopsis: What is hidden in the shadows? Away from the spotlight what will I find when I leave the glittering lights? Is what is scary truly bad? The colorful moments of romance, the childish ways we hold to, and the exotic people we encounter help shape the songs and stories in the narrative of two women exploring their own “Lovers & Monsters”. The show features songs that are just as dazzling and mysterious as the subject itself. Featuring music from Rodgers & Hammerstein, Radiohead, Sondheim, Eden Ahbez, new original songs, and much more, performed by Kristyn Murphy and Abbie Stands, backed by stunning piano arrangements by music director , Dean Marcellana, Colin Graebert and Steve Sensenig. This cabaret-styled show will be debuting in 2016 at the Metropolitan Room in New York City.
Show Times: Saturday at 7:00, Sunday at 3:00
Tickets: $15 for adults, $8 for students.
