Music That Makes Community

November 16, 2019, 9:00 AM4:30 PM

Music That Makes Community is excited to visit Mid Coast Maine, sharing paperless (oral/aural tradition) music and leadership practices. Waterville United Church of Christ will host this time of musical and spiritual nourishment as we join voices and hearts in song. the Executive Director of Music that Makes Community, Paul Vasile, will offer leadership, inviting participants into communal learning and reflection.

All are welcome to share in a day-long workshop exploring how and why we sing together, noticing the way our bodies and voices are present when we learn through thoughtful modeling and generous invitation. Together we'll experience how the energy we create through singing affects what we do in worship as a whole, as well as other parts of our human lives. Share in worship and participatory learning, and experience paperless songs and leadership practices you can share with your community!

View the workshop schedule here.

Paul will also offer musical leadership at Waterville UCC Sunday morning.

Music That Makes Community encourages and support practices of communal singing and learning. Watch this short video to learn about the unique work we're doing around the United States and Canada. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atdATR3sdFw
