This week we will visit the town of Waldoboro and the Long Winter Soap Company!
Long Winter Soap Company is owned and operated by Amanda Nelson and her husband Lucas McNelly. Amanda began the business when her first child reacted badly to the chemicals in regular soaps and detergents. She began to experiment with making her own soap and it blossomed into a business. With humor and ingenuity, the company grew and the brick and mortar shop opened in 2017, with her husband Lucas working on shipping product and creating lip balm!
