This workshop with Sabaah Folayan will be a multimedia presentation on women leadership in rebellion and a discussion about people like Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Nina Simone, Dolores Huerta, and Queen Nanny. This event will explore Folayan’s current work in progress, touching on the themes of femininity during conflict, romance, and relationship to popular literature.

Cosponsored by the Oak Institute for Human Rights, African-American Studies Department, and the Center for the Arts and Humanities.
