Shabbat Healing Service

December 16, 2016, 6:00 PM7:30 PM

Free

Vandals painted swastikas on rocks at Quarry Road Trails in Waterville recently, and Rabbi Rachel of the local synagogue, Beth Israel, voiced concern for her congregation's safety.  According to an announcement by Mike Roy, City Manager & Nick Isgro, Mayor, "The City of Waterville stands firmly united against any form of hate and intolerance......Waterville has always been, remains, and will always be an open and accepting community that will not be torn asunder by individuals or groups who believe otherwise."

A Shabbat service open to people of all faith traditions to come together in healing, unity, song, and devotion will be hosted by Beth Israel Congregation, the Interfaith Clergy Association, and Temple Beth El-Augusta.  Join others in support of individual safety by showing it's not okay for anyone in our community to feel unsafe and targeted, either as a group or as individuals.
