Stan and Dan at the Union Coffeehouse

$5Maine Bluegrass is returning to the Union Coffeehouse, aswe welcome back Stan and Dan, an acoustic duo that plays in the style of the brother duets popular in the 1930s and '40s.
Stan Keach and Dan Simons’ performances feature very tight vocal harmony, and Dan's virtuoso mandolin stylings. They demonstrate the applicability of the Brother Duet style to a wide variety of songs from folk and Bluegrass to rock and country genres. The entertaining duo also sings original songs (many of them about Maine topics) written by Stan, a nationally-known Bluegrass songwriter. In addition to the wonderful music, Stan and Dan will put a smile on your face with the easy-going banter they exchange between songs.
Be sure to mark your calendars with the date and time to give yourselves a delightful early-summer musical evening. Refreshments and an open mic hour will follow. We hope to see you there.
