Wesley McNair Remembers Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon

April 4, 2019, 4:00 PM

Free

In honor of National Poetry Month, poet Wesley McNair will offer a recollection of his literary friendship with Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon, which began in the middle 1970s, just after the two moved into their farmhouse in Wilmot, N.H. Interspersing his account with poems and personal anecdotes, McNair will show how he and his new neighbors developed as poets of place, all drawing on details from the same patch of ground to create New England visions that were both different and distinctive. A reception will follow the program.
