Winter Animal Tracks
January 18, 2020, 11:00 AM
FreeEver wondered what made those tracks you saw in the woods? We will lead a snow shoe/ hike across one of our conservation properties. We call it "Dolley" — it is a property across the road from the Round Top trailhead in Rome. It includes a wide trail and a field home to deer, apple trees, fox, and coyote! We will meet at the Round Top trailhead and then cross the street to Dolley. We will stop at animal tracks and determine what animal could have made them and what they may have been up to! Snowshoes recommended depending on snowpack — but not necessary! Cross country skis are also welcome! This event is 100% kid-friendly but will be oriented towards adults!
Meet at the Round Top trailhead on Watson Pond Rd. in Rome at 11 a.m.
If we have to cancel due to weather we will post on Facebook and our website by Friday (1/17) at noon.
