REM Award Honorees (2009) — Alma-Lea Pace (Maine Dance Teachers Club)
Alma-Lea Pace began her teaching career in the summer of 1991 and has since continued to grow as a teacher and business woman with the help of Maine Dance Teacher’s Club. Alma-Lea credits MDTC with being a great support system and providing a wonderful service to the children of our communities. She has enjoyed watching Maine Dance Teacher’s Club grow into a well respected organization and is very proud to be a member.
As well as operating her dance studio for close to 20 years, Alma-Lea spends a great deal of time working with her local church and missionary organizations to bring her passion for dance to life in countries that would otherwise never know that love. It is her strong desire to be an influence on the children of her community and beyond, instilling quality values and self-respect.
Alma-Lea resides with her family in Lisbon and looks forward to opening Alma-Lea’s Dance Studio in its new location in Lisbon Falls in the very near future. The Maine Dance Teachers Club is proud to honor Alma-Lea at REM’s Community Awards this year!
