December with the Museum
Hello museum family,
Happy December! As the days grow shorter and colder we hope you will take some time to enjoy the company of friends and family, and what better way to do so than at some of our special programming? Toddler Power Hours continue to provide a place for open-ended play and exploration, and events such as the Royal Ball and Date Nights are extra fun for your family. Also be sure to check out Kringleville in Castonguay Square, Santa's home base in Maine. For more information about these programs, and a special giveaway, read on!
I hope to see you this month at some of our offerings,
Caitlin Walker
Programs Director
Fun Fund
Pay it forward this holiday season with our Fun Fund: all donations will be used to provide admission to our programs and events to a family that otherwise may not be able to participate.
So far the Fun Fund has helped cover two tickets to our Jason Tardy Juggling Show, paid for a family to make a Take and Bake Apple Pie for Thanksgiving, and will cover at least 2 tickets to our Royal Ball!
Anyone can use the Fun Fund, simply ask at the admission desk or email Caitlin to get on the list.
This project was born through the idea that as a community we can come together to offer opportunities to play to all children. In order to continue to offer the Fun Fund, we need your support: we hope you'll make a donation today!
Royal Winter Ball
You are cordially invited to attend the formal ball of our very own princes, princesses, and friends. Come dressed in your best royal attire and enjoy snacks, dancing, sing alongs, royal arts and crafts, and get a chance to meet your favorite princes and princesses!

Come visit Santa at his special cabin in Castonguay Square - get a picture taken, take home a book and maybe an ornament, and sit with Saint Nick to tell him what you want for Christmas.
Letters to Santa
Coordinated by Waterville Post Office and Children's Discovery Museum
Any letter for Santa sent with a return address between now and December 22nd will get a response from the big guy himself! Simply drop them off at the Waterville post office or at the mailbox at the Kringleville Cabin
Joy to the Ville

Spend some time in Downtown Waterville on Saturday the 2nd to enjoy free programming for both kids and adults! Most programs take place at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, but there are also events at the Waterville Public Library. We will be there with the Mobile Museum!
