Children’s Discovery Museum – 2024 Summer Camp

Summer Camp Registration is OPEN!
This year we are offering three different types of camps:
Ready, Set, Build: Full-day hands-on building camp
Kids at the Museum: Half-day camps for our littlest friends, which take place at the museum
Kids in the Woods: Full-day outdoor camps in partnership with Quarry Road. 100% outside!
Ready, Set, Build
A unique building experience at the museum!
This camp will allow kids to play an active role in designing and building an outdoor play structure for the museum to use for years to come!
Best suited for ages 7-10
Daily 9:00 - 3:00
Kids at the Museum
A week full of art, science, movement, and open-ended play on the schedule every day.
Best suited for ages 3-5
Daily 9:00am - 12:00pm
Session 1: Maine-ly Fun 7/8 - 7/12
We’ll become familiar with Maine’s rich wildlife, learn essential survival skills, compete in a lumberjack competition, make homemade paper & prepare blueberry pie!
Session 2: Fizz, Bubble, Splat 7/15 - 7/19
Get ready to get messy! Transform into a mad scientist and make slime, experiment with fizzy chemical reaction, blow giant bubbles and more, as we design and test the messiest experiments we can think of!
Session 3: Great and Mythical Creatures 7/22 - 7/26
Now let me tell you a story… Join us for a week of magic and mystery and we practice the art of storytelling. Inspired by unicorns, fairies, ogres and more, we’ll craft shadow puppets, design our own mythical creatures, create costumes and mix up magical potions.

An outdoor summer experience at Quarry Road!
A week full of adventure, mountain biking, discovery, nature exploration, hiking, hands-on science, messy art, and more.
Best suited for ages 6-9
Daily 9:00am - 3:00pm
