Our Voices: Gender and Race on the Page

January 17, 2021, 7:00 PM8:00 PM

Ruckus Roundtables is a series of online conversations specifically designed for middle school & up, but all ages are welcome. We want to spark curiosity, encourage conversations, and promote ways to challenge the status quo. Register today! And don't worry if you can't attend the live event; all events are recorded and a link to the replay is provided to all who register.

Our next Roundtable happens on Wednesday, Feb. 17!

About this event: One of the best ways to expand our perspectives is to read new ones! Storytelling has existed in every culture since forever and they allow readers to experience a little, or even a whole lot!, about the people & cultures all over the world. How do we learn about others through story, and how do we write our own? Join our panel discussion on writing our voices, looking at different aspects of identity on the page.

2021 Ruckus Roundtable Calendar:

  • February 17 - Our Voices: Gender & Race on the Page
  • March 16 - Wom*n in STEAM
  • April 21 - The Linguistics of Gender Expression

Events run 7 - 8:00 PM.
