Kennebec Behavioral Health and Crisis & Counseling Centers Joining Forces
Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH) and Crisis & Counseling Centers are pleased to announce they have joined together, effective December 1, 2024. This collaboration underscores their mutual commitment to delivering compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to the central Maine community. By uniting, they aim to ensure that community members continue to receive seamless, high-quality support.
The transition is being managed to ensure it is as smooth as possible for clients and staff alike, with a focus on maintaining high-quality support and care. "We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for everyone involved," said Amber Kruk, Executive Director at Crisis & Counseling Centers. "Our clients' well-being remains our top priority, and we are confident that this joint venture will ultimately benefit the entire community."
Combining their resources and expertise, KBH and Crisis & Counseling Centers will offer a broader range of services, ensuring no one in the community is left without support. Clients can rest assured that their care will continue without disruption, with all current programs and services remaining in the same locations with the same dedicated professionals.

A wide array of mental health services and programs, including Crisis Stabilization and Mobile Crisis, will now be offered under the name Kennebec Behavioral Health. Crisis services are an integral part of KBH's Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, ensuring comprehensive and accessible care for all. With a shared vision, they are dedicated to addressing the evolving behavioral health needs of the community.
