REM Award Honorees (2009) — Myra Chaloult (Waterville Business and Professional Women)
Myra is a Personal Support Specialist at Assistance Plus and Maine-ly Elder Care, where she has worked for over two years.
Myra has been active in Waterville BPW since June 1988 in various positions including four terms as President and one as Recording Secretary. Myra has served four years as Recording Secretary for BPW/Maine, the state organization and is currently a member of the BPW/Maine Task Force and Chair of the “Member and Woman of the Year” Committee.
As President of Waterville BPW, Myra coordinates programs for the year, chairs monthly meetings, is involved in several committees, and assists in various fundraisers. Myra also served for four years on the Board of Trustees of the Futurama Foundation, is a volunteer for REM, and past volunteer at the Waterville Humane Society.
Myra lives in Oakland with her husband Gary and enjoys visiting with her 2 children, Jen and Eric. Even with a busy job and family, she has proven to be a great supporter of our Waterville BPW. We are proud to honor Myra as our REM Award recipient!
