REM Award Honorees (2012) — Susan Jackson (Kennebec Montessori School)
This year our honoree is Susan Jackson, a master gardener who has helped the school to flourish in so many ways.
We encourage our parents to get involved in their child’s education by volunteering their time to the school. Thanks to Susan, KMS has a gardening program that allows the children to spend time in the outdoors planting, weeding, and enjoying vegetables that they have grown themselves. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your expertise, and generously giving your time to enriching our learning environments.
