REM Award Honorees (2019) — Theresa Macklin (United Way of Mid-Maine)

Our REM honoree this year stands out due to her whole-hearted engagement, great insights, and compassionate leadership. Theresa Macklin is the Assistant Vice President/Senior Retail Loan Officer at Camden National bank in Waterville. She is deeply committed to the community through her volunteer work, including as Waterville Sunrise Rotary past president, and her activities in the business community.

Currently chair of the board of directors of United Way of Mid-Maine, Theresa has attended countless Community Impact Team meetings over her tenure with UWMM, helped at the Stuff-the-Bus school supply drive, helped usher in our first ever CANstruction Contest, and has brought her determination, sunny personality, encouragement , and great ideas to the Mad Hatter Gala. (Did you love those decorations? Theresa was an anchor for that committee!!)

Theresa is a doer, and a pace-setter — and she keeps the pace hopping!

Theresa glows with pride when talking about her family, her friends, her community. Her far-reaching connections in the community become evident when we travel the United Way of Mid- Maine service area — there’s nowhere we go that she doesn’t know at least one person in the room! She has been a powerful leader for United Way during her time on the Board, making great community connect ions, and being a fabulous goodwill ambassador for UWMM.

Thank you, Theresa Macklin! We are pleased to celebrate you at the 2019 REM Awards!
